Last go around in da house. This is a basically new mint unplayed untouched Gibson RD Standard. Now totally out of production, and may become a great collectors item in the future. Great guitar to sock away in the closet for 20 years and watch it outperform the Standard and Poors.

The Gibson RD Standard Reissue is a fantastic reissue that captures the unique vibe of this unusual electric guitar, but incorporates many of the tried and true features that Gibson fans have come to know and love. It features a "reversed" Firebird style solid mahogany body, a set mahogany neck with a rounded '50s shape, a 22-fret rosewood fretboard, and has the traditional 24-3/4" Gibson scale length.
A Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge provides a firm seating for the strings, and allows the player to adjust and fine-tune the intonation and string height in a matter of minutes. It also yields excellent coupling between strings and body, maximizing resonance, tone, and sustain. A separate "stopbar" tailpiece is designed to further enhance the connection between the strings and the body. Grover kidney shaped machine heads deliver precision tuning in a durable housing that provides maximum protection for the gear and string post. They are die cast and have a gear ratio of 14:1. A special lubricant inside the gearbox provides smooth and accurate tuning stability. All hardware is chrome plated.
The RD Standard Reissue guitar is loaded with Gibson BurstBucker Pro pickups. The BurstBucker Pro enhances the vintage "edge" of Gibson's popular BurstBucker pickups with the added feature of an Alnico 5 magnet. They are wax potted so that they can withstand loud volume pressures without annoying feedback. With the BurstBucker Pro, all "Pure Tone Lovers" can now have stunning humbucking tone.
The Gibson RD guitar comes with a New Gibson hardshell case. These guitars were 1600.00 new when first reissued.
