I'd say it's about as far from the standard as an SG can get. That thing has a SOLID FLAME MAPLE body and a maple neck. Personally I'd rather have an SG Supreme (or one of the VOS models) because, to me, an SG needs to be made out of mahogany. I will say though that the SG is probably one guitar that could get away with being solid maple without weighing as much as a tractor trailer.
man, that thing looks amazing. id definately consider one if the price was reasonable (the red one...ahhhhh). an all-maple SG would probably be bright as hell though
