Gibson SG single conductor to 4-conductor wiring-Tone cap placement?

I am changing pickups in my SG from single conductor to 4. However I have a question about the wiring diagrams from Seymour Duncan about the location of the tone cap. In the stock wiring the tone cap is soldered between the tone and volume pots. The new 4-conductor diagram shows the tone cap soldered on the tone pot to ground. Which is better and what is the effect on tone? Thanks in advance.

same thing, electronically speaking; no difference in tone. cap to volume pot just makes the job quicker in a production environment. i prefer cap to back of tone pot because i like having the tone control [pot+cap] together as one unit. as an electronics layman, it helps me visualize the circuit more clearly.
