Gibson shop pics

Took my monthly business trip to San Diego today and while there I of course had to visit my favorite Guitar store as usual. Business has slowed a little, due to the economy I suppose. Gibson is running behind on SG production right now, so the SG rack is near empty. The weirdest guitar there is the sparkle LP Custom with the abalone back (sold on layaway), and the coolest IMO is the used custom shop one-off koa 356 with no F-holes. Another couple oddballs are the black R8 and R0. There are 2-3 glossy R0’s on order due in next week, darkbursts I believe.

Wow. Amazing guitars. I love that Koa 335! Lots of Gibson bashing these days, but they are obviously turning out some jems.

Actually I believe its a 356.

You know those were limited to 400 made, and that's the last one I've seen around (new).

Yeah, the RD's were limited to 400 as well. I think they still have a couple of those V's at Sweetwater. I may have to check into it.

Anyways, what's the that color of the two Les Pauls in the center of that pic above? That third one from the left is smokin!! I love the big fat chevron flames on it.

It sorta looks like vintage sunburst, but it's got a little red in there like in Duane Allmans burst. Lets just say its Duane burst.

The two on the left are iced teas or light burst.

The next two are dark-burst / desert burst.

The far right is a honeyburst.

too bad those are all swiss cheesed. Almost reminds me of those very fancy looking Korean guitars. All flash..no substance.But ****s that seconf from left looks a lot like muy budies original 1/2 million dollar 59 Std.!
