But i came to really like their light hearted approuch to testing & reviewing gear !

Two thumbs up to them !

Thanks for posting !!!

They do put out some great gear reviews, don't they ? Too bad they're all the way across the ocean though.

I like their videos. Check out their Mooer pedal one.

They even teamed up with Phil X for some demos / youtube time !

That was fun to watch !

See if you can find the one they did for the Orange OR15 - it sounds great.

I lasted 1 minute. I couldn't stand them.

After watching Andy (he of ProGuitarShop fame) for so many years, it was weird to take these guys seriously.
Also, i know Rob Chappers from his early Orange (Thunderverb 50 demos) youtube vids.
There, he was very professional in his delivering of the demo - still by FAR the best Thunderverb 50 demo on YouTube - FACT !

<--- now 5 years old

So, when Chappers joined forces with Andertons, his style of demo'ing changed drastically - as can be seen !

But i got use to it, and now enjoy their more light hearted approuch !

Still love Andy's demos too !

And lets not even talk about Phil X !!!

HE FLAT OUT ROCKS !!!

The Tone King is aslo fun to watch !

PS : i do not like gearmandudes stuff though !!!

Re: Gibson Standard Vs Studio Vs Epiphone - The Ultimate 2012 Les Paul Shootout

I think Rob had the light hearted approach going well before the andertons gig came along. He just mixed in more somewhat serious demos and lessons as well. Still, its not really a whole lot different to be honest.

The Tone King reviews some cool stuff and does some really excellent event coverage such as namm. I think his demo setup could be better with some help dialing in the tone and especially the demoing aspect.

. . . slighty OT :

Andertons is one of my very few Yootoob subscriptions. I find their demo sound quality hit and miss, but it is always entertaining.

That Tone King guy makes me wanna shove an icepick in a baby seal's eyesocket. Horrible demos, horrible tone..yeah lets demo that Fender Blues Deluxe with my BC RICH WARLOCK...yah..throw some horns for New Jersey... : puke :

Best demos period are Musikshmidt/SessionMusic

Chappers and Lee always make entertaining videos. I am probably going to buy a new pedal because I liked it so much in one of their videos.

Spinal Tap meets Wayne's World. Party on - all the way up to eleven, innit?

Man, that Epi can sustain like a Bansheee . . .

I actually couldn't even tell whether that was actual sustain or just feedback because the pups suck.

The Standard just had a much wider tone to my ears, with more sweetness and more cut. I'd like to hear that Epi again with decent pickups. It sounded good even with the stockers.

Both of them killed the studio.

And yeah, I love their videos. There's enough other reviewers out there dryly running through specs before shredding for five minutes, if that's your bag. I like their informal yet thorough style.

By the way, I've had some dealings with Anderton's in the past. They're great people and their customer service is really excellent.
