Giggity

Hi,
I am 60. I bought the first fuzz face in seattle, and have been trying
everything boost or distortion for 45 years. It boils down to this- I bought a
Sparkle Drive, and it sounded so good on a clean/grit mix it was perfect for
rhythm. At low volume sounded crunchy, and like a big loud Marshall turned down at the board, no attenuation, etc.
Needed a boost for leads, almost everything sounded like a fuzz pedal - including the famous TS 808. The only thing I could find was to use a 2nd S.Drive with a little more gain, less clean knob, tone a little sharper and volume up from 2-3 for rhythm to 4-5 for the lead S.D.
I am set, but got a call from a long time friend guitar tech who said I must try a V. Lab Giggity for a lead boost. So the question for my smart forum fellows is to tell me any thing about this pedal. No other pedal is in the running.
As I said, I love my 2 S. Drives for rhythm and lead. My friend made a big deal about this pedal. Thanks in advance.

Re: Giggity

Here's a good example of how awesome it can be with just one setting:

Re: Giggity

Sorry, forgot to say I am disabled and since my forced retirement can't afford a car, not sure I could even make it to a store to check one for myself.
So my knowledge is from the recent past, hence me asking you. Did a lot of
back and forth pedal in the mail routine. So please forgive, and youtube shootouts are far too many and sound mostly unpleasant.

Re: Giggity

I hear no difference with the giggity turned on. (Maybe it's brighter?)

The Puss thingy is pretty cool, though.

Re: Giggity

Yes, thanks,
lets get back on track. Anyone have a chance to hear a Giggity any where?

Re: Giggity

While the Giggity could be used as a boost it's really more of a tone enhancer if you will...

Think about the Giggity like this...turn your Twin Reverb into a Marshall or your Strat into a 335...maybe turn your Les Paul into a Telecaster...

Thats what the Giggity is all about.

If you've ever recorded guitar track then gone nuts tweaking the tone once it's committed to tape then you know what the basic idea is and you know what I'm talking about.

That's why they call it a "Mastering Preamp"

Re: Giggity

to inventedfire-
That is a good explanation. I would really need to get a ride to my local Guitar Center and bring my own guitar + a Sparkle Drive (both of them) and give it a shot.
Off topic, what is that angels in heaven sound thing , says Supa- Puss I
think, I think it might be a voodoo lab thing. Aqua Puss did not show the same pedal but looked the same without all those itty bitty knobs underlying the the big knobs.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Giggity

The Super Puss has not been released yet...

The Aqua Puss is made by Way Huge and is a reissue of the original Aqua Puss.

It is a 300ms analog delay, the Super Puss is a 600ms analog delay with tap tempo and modulation.

Re: Giggity

Again Inventedfire guy,
Thank you. Explains why I couldn't find it. Sounds A LOT like a really expensive AND good analog chorus.
I guess Giggity pedals are too new to have made the rounds of a lot of
Forum members yet.
AGAIN the computer has F***ed up my spacing and paragraph placement
in my post where I go off topic and ask about that heaven & angels pedal.
I don't need help to look stupid, I can do that all by myself!
