Hey.
I have a strat-styled guitar, (Hamer Vintage S), and I've got a hunkerin' to try a different bridge pup.
Currently, there's an APS-1 in there, (it's one of three, of course), and it's too thin and tinny-- I can't really use it.
I recently stuck those "graph-tec"(sp?) saddles in there-- the ones covered with teflon or graphite or whatever... and that actually helped, but I'm not sure that I want to keep them, since I think they goof the sound of the neck pup, which I don't want to change.
So-- am I correct to suppose that I might want to try the SSL-3 in the bridge? (I'm just going by the higher DC R, and the lower res peak)
Then-- if I could have everything, I'd want more spank/squawk/quack. Can I have it all? (I could maybe swap the middle pup too...)
Thanks.
PS: Hee. I didn't remember sticking that sig in here... Anyway, I wanted to add-- the guitar is two piece maple; I think that's part of the "problem".
