They just don't seem to be the right fit for me. Bodies are a little thin, scale length is a little shorter.. on paper they were perfect. One humbucker, string through fixed bridge, active pickup... should have been *my* signature guitar. Ah well.

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

Yeah fair enough, everyone has their "feel" preferences... I honestly find Godins to have the best quality in their price range and sound great

Oh, they do sound great and the quality is better than most of the USA guitars I've had. I don't regret buying them, I regret all the guitars I've played before that I got used to first. ;)

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

I used to have a cognac burst LG, with the Godin Quadcoil pickups. Awesome guitar, very flexible, but the neck was just too thin for my tastes. Sold it, kinda miss it, but not so much I'd sell what I bought with the money I got for it.

I've spent a lot of time with this Exit 22:

. . . For an inexpensive guitar, she plays really well and sounds pretty damned good!

The red one Dominous has will soon be mine, and I have this one.View attachment 45738

How do you like the acousitc 5th avenue? I keep tossing around the idea of picking one up, they're beautiful guitars!

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

They are excellent players, not as loud as a dreadnaught. I put a K&K pickup under the bridge feet, at high volumes it will feedback. When I'm learning new material it's my go to guitar, I love the 16" radius, easy to bend strings even with 12's on it.

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

you guys gotta check out the Icon series and the Montreal ... amazing guitars that are a bit over a grand but are well worth it..

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

I'm glad Godin went with USA made Duncan SP-90's on these models. They play and sound great right out of the box.....no need to change anything.

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

exactly... They tend to use good pickups like Lollars in their Icon series and what not... they know people want a good pickup in a new guitar and the price is still reasonable

Re: Godin Users....Get in here!!!

I've had two an early LGXT-SA with trem and an ACS-SA Nylon. Both were good guitars with great value for the dollar. Now that I've seen the SP90 I think I'll have one of those soon great price for a guitar with those features and I need hardtails for recording with alternate tunings right now. p90's are killer for slide anyway.
