i posted a while ago about needing to upgrade my pick-ups because of too much feedback on my distortion channel. But i just turned down the gain, problem solved... but! chords dont ring out as much, and over-all i am just used to it, etc. /shrug so in other words, i need some pick-ups that will be able to handle a high-gain distortion and not produce any feedback - suggestions?

pickup that handles high gain and will not produce ANY(or much) feedback..wow...that;s gonna be difficult..all pups will feedback a lot if you have lots of gain dialed in.
what type of music do u play? maybe others will be able to help you out.

btw i like it when it goes slowly from the chord to a soft feedback....
what style do you play? how much gain? tube amp?
My chords ring very long and i have no big problem with feedback, i just i have to put the Vol back on breaks. i play damn loud....Cran said:

if you want pickups that handle high gain and dont feed back, get EMG's!!!!! They're noise free, and sustain for a long time. Really clear too.

i play like a modern alternative style, distorted parts amd clean parts, the head i'm playing out of right now isnt tube'd, when i had my ibanez RG, i played with a value of 80 gain for the distortion. got my schector, and i had to tone it down to about 45ish. my ibanez had no problem with feedback as long as i had the strings muted, but with my schector... had to turn the gain down, but the duncan-design schector pick-ups sound way better than my ibanez.
