May be a stupid question, but would putting gold leaf over the top of active pickups affect the sound? I doubt it would, just checking. If it would affect the sound, how?
Possibly, if they have plastic covers. Gold is a highly conductive metal and could have a similar affect as having metal covers in place of the plastic ones.
