Good 12" driver for a Champ?

I am looking for a 13" for my Champ clone. Thus far I like a Greenback.

I have been less impressed with alnico spkrs.

Any recommendations?

I also like the Eminence Legend.

I know you mean 12" and not 13" but I have to say I laughed a little anyway!

It sounds like you want a less traditional sound so maybe the Greenback is a good choice. I love Greenbacks with almost every thing.

I like my Champ head through my Greenback or a Hellatone G12H30. The nod goes to the G12H30, but the GB is pretty great too. Where my greenback really shines is in my Silvertone 1482

I used to have a 1482 with a Greenback!!!

I wonder how many there are around Atlanta?!

I have a 5F1 champ clone that I've been playing through a Greenback/G12H30 (2x12) or Eminence Texas Heat (1x12). The celestions are great for the classic cranked sound. I like the Texas Heat a bit better for cleans as it's brighter and tighter.
