Good jazzboxes

anybody know what's a good jazz hollow body for 300-500 bucks. I hear the ibanezes are good deals.

hmmm $3-500. huh. I have a D'armond single neck p-up hollow body that I picked up a few yrs back for about $500. Really good for the price.

The Artcores are pretty cool guitars, try and "play the one you buy" though to make sure the QC is up to your standards.

artcores or oscar schmidts are about your only options in that price range

well, or a dean stylist or some cheap epi

what would you guys prefer-an artcore or an epiphone? Isn't the joe pass 600 bucks or around there

The absolute best ones in that price range are the Washburns like the J9.
Search Ebay daily for Washburns and you'll see some killer guitars go for cheap.
I've compared them to Ibanez, Epi, Samick, etc, and the Washburns own them all.
Seafoamer's right about the DeArmonds too. Fender discontinued them after buying DeArmond's mother company, Guild. They only made DeArmonds for 3 years, but they're the best cheap guitar ever made IMO.

I think an Ibanez Artcore would be just what you need... great guitars for the price!
