Good simple Guitar and Bass song?

What's a good simple song that uses guitar and bass with minimal effects that me and my girlfriend can learn and expand upon this weekend? I want something that's simple enough that it's easy to add our own sounds to, but I can't think of anything

DO THE BEAR CAT by DAVID WILCOX! You're welcome. /end thread

Honorable mentions:
Day Tripper by The Beatles is a fun riff to play on guitar or bass.
Crazy Train is also a fun one albeit a bit challenging for beginners.
Old Friend By Rancid is a good one. Bass line is interesting but not too hard and room to play with it.
Peculiar by The Slackers is another one that's in a similar style.
Put Some Drive In Your Country by Travis Tritt is a great simple song that's easy to play around with.

Strum the chord changes to any 80s hairband song, esp something Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison. Dont have to pick the notes to play along, just strum along with the chord changes. Until you hit the chorus, its only 2 chords, G and C, the chorus add a D.

The Cult - Electric

If someday somebody made a game where you play the guitar as a video game, this album would be on the lowest difficulty setting, "This should keep your mind off the fact you lost your arms in a woodchipper accident".

Cheap Trick - Surrender. One simple pattern, and it just moves up a half step for the end.
AC-DC - Highway To Hell
Green Day - When I come around
Joey - Concrete Blond

As for Every Rose...you all hush.
Guitar in Verse is G (with 2nd string D down), C add9, and D - Except for when it Dsus4's a little
Then the Breakdown is G, F# Em Cadd9 G - Oh, you all forgot that did you? That's why I'm Steve Dallas and you are not!
But yeah. Really easy song

The Police - "Ghost In the Machine" - "Darkness." In 2.3 seconds, you can play this bass line just like Sting.

Dang, do the bearcat is the most re re song I think I've ever heard that isn't trying to be. Makes me wonder what the appeal is lol.
