Good USB mic for vocals and guitar micing?

Can anyone recommend a decent USB mic to use for recording acoustic and electric guitars and vocals into a computer?

I'd like to get some Ideas captured on tape right now and it's bugging me that I don't have a way to record them. If I'm better off just getting a regular mic (condenser or otherwise) and an interface let me know. i don't wanna be barking up the wrong tree. thanks.

All I've got right now is a Mac iBook G4 with Garageband on it, no external sound card. I recently bought an external HD and upgraded the RAM to 1.5 gig.

No mic, no line. Just 2 USB ports and FireWire 400.

I gather you,re most likely going to need an interface like an M box.
You might be best off,to post a query to WahWah,as he uses an Apple and logic audio;and is more likely to be familiar with what you might need!

Probably better off going with an interface and a 57 or 58, in all honesty.

You know what? I was looking at that... and I wandered into GC today and bought one. :laugh2:

I like it so far! This'll just be good for getting some recording jones out of the way or capturing quick ideas while I'm building up my recording workstation rig. Hee hee!!
