Hi all,
I bought a SD Everything Axe set some time ago intending to install them in one of my Strats but since have decided to install them in my Jackson that has a S-S-H configuration. I'm substituting a full size JB bridge pup with F-spacing for the JB Jr. bridge in the Axe set. I also have a Megaswitch 'E' switch I want to use to switch between pickups because the switch allows for coil splitting that a regular 5-way switch is unable to do. For example, with a H-S-H setup (which is more or less what I have) here's what the switch can be wired to do:
Position 1: JB Bridge pup - both coils on
Position 2: Duckbucker + rear JB bridge coil
Position 3: Neck side 59er coil + rear JB bridge coil
Position 4: Neck side 59er coil + Duckbucker
Position 5: 59er Neck pup - both coils on
Now that is a near perfect switching combination for my needs. However, I would like to use a push-pull toggle pot to have both coils of the 59er and JB pups on in phase (similar to a Les Paul with both pups on). Additionally, I would like to have another push-pull pot to throw one of the pups out of phase so the honky hollow sound could be achieved whether the front and rear pups are in humbucking mode or not. Does anyone know 1) if this is achievable and 2) how would you go about it?
Another question I have concerns the JB Jr. bridge pup I bought. It's new but for some reason, the cover has come loose from the pickup. I haven't tried to install it on any guitar at any time. What would I need to use to safely make the cover stay on the pickup?
Regards,
David
