Got a Valve King! But... (help)

So I got a Valve King 1x12 combo for Christmas today and I love it! I think I'm going to have to become a tube amp man from now on. The cleans are awesome and I get some great heavy sounds, but I haven't had a chance to really crank it yet... I'll have to wait 'til the parental untis are out. Anyway, although I've only had it for 8 hours, I love it.

There's one minor problem, though... I assumed (bad, I know...) that it would come with a footswitch and it didn't. "No problem", I thought. "I'll just order it seperately." Nu uh. I can't find a peavey footswitch for it anywhere. Can anyone help me out, please? If I can't find a Peavey switch, I'll have to settle for an off-brand footswitch, which is fine with me. I'd just like to switch channels while playing for cheap. Thanks for listening!

Peace and Merry Christmas!

Tried contacting Peavey directly? (wait... nevermind. It's Christmas)

They should be able to hook you up nicely.

When I bought mine they offered to order me one from Peavey, but I just bought a Marshall switch that they had on hand (little more expensive, but better quality)

I would love to see one guitarist who never got a footswitch, and like during a show he keeps running to his amp to push the little button. I think that would be hilarious.

Thanks, Kac. I saw that before and didn't know if I could use it with my new amp. I read the list of amps you can use it for and I didn't know if I could use it because the valve king wasn't included in the list. I guess I should have looked into it better.

I've seen it with some of these blues guys who don't believe in using pedals...they run back to the amp and actually hit the switch/button/whatever.

It's really funny to watch. Needless to say, they don't do it very often.

I actually had a footswitch crap out on me in the middle of a song once...luckily I only had a moderate amount of gain, so I was able to get it to clean up fairly well using the volume and switching from the bridge bucker to the middle single coil. :smack:

Well, the duct tape is plan b, but I just ordered the cliff switch from musician's friend, so we'll see how it works. Thanks for all the help.

Peace easy.
