Got a Zoom Q3 so...

Hey guys...I was off work today and bored so I just got a Zoom Q3 and wanted to try it out..now if I only can get rid of the compression! Damn auto adjust..anyways heres my first try, nothing fancy just hit record and wanked whatever came in my head! LOL!!
The first clip is my Traditional Ice Tea with Doug Aldrich pups into my M60 with a Mesa 2X12 cab loaded with Black Shadow speakers...borrowed this cab to try from a friend...I'm not sure about it yet.
The second clip is my Les Paul Standard with WCR Godwoods in drop C tuning. Much the same..just mindless wanking. Now I just got to figure out this Q3 thing to get better sound out of it.

In my experience, that series of MESA Engineering cabs has a built-in "scoop" tonality to it that just cannot be EQ'd out. (Fair enough. That is what the target market demands, after all.) I traded my 1x12 Recto cab for a Marshall 1912 with a MESA/Electrovoice loudspeaker then replaced the EV with a NOS Marshall G12 Gold. The EV is a spare for my Thiele cabs.

Zoom Q3? I have nothing constructive to say about that. Sorry.

It is kinda scooped sounding...I have the mids at 2:30 on the amp and a LP so there should be lots of mids! LOL! I'm looking for a good 2X12 to replace my 4X12's for the smaller gigs. The Q3...well thats another story again...it would be cool filming vacations..stuff like that.:p

Is the Q3 a effects processor? I have the John 5 Signature Series Pedal which I'm using with my 2 Strats and my Fender Frontman 65 R Combo and it's like having a whole new setup with this pedal.

Thanks Frank! Your clips kill man! I think I'm going to buy a Port City 2X12 cab unloaded and throw some V30's that I have lying around in it...
