Got my hands on 2 LP Standard Fadeds

Damn they were both excellent. First was the tobacco burst the second amber, out of the box and hanging on the wall at the Commack GC. I dug them both. First they looked great, they played excellent as well, real resonant too. I had a hard time putting the burst back on the rack, I was more than tempted to take it home with me let me tell you. It was pretty light too, if they'll workout some trade in deal for me you might see pics real soon.

i played an amber one...i think it was supposed to be amber lol...and the top looked bad, just not a good slab of wood IMO...but it did play nice IMO.

Oh you know I have GAS real bad right now. I went looking for an ebony Custom or Standard, and found those. I really should just get an Epi, I am just looking for a humbucker LP backup, I don't neeeeeed a frontline axe but I know I'll end up wanting a Gibby, I always do. I have had some awesome copies but I always want the real deal instead.

1899 was the ticket price, I traded in a few things and laid out a bit of cash so it's hard to say what my real cost was, plus I didn't want a case which saved a few bucks as well.

Fit and finish is excellent on this guitar, the pic is nowhere as near the golden color it is and the flame is great! Reminds me of the Boneyard with out the funky color.

That looks great man! Not at all what I expected from the pics on Gibson's site a while back. That's a great top on that puppy for sure. Not so sure about the cream rings, but it's still a beaut!

holy crap...nice top on that one she looks sexy for sure...i guess i went to the wrong guitar center lol...the stupid one in carle place had two with ugly a$$ tops...man thats a great top...i gotta start driving out to the commack GC more...i should have know since that's where my LP studio came from. enjoy it man it sure is sweet!!

I can't even tell you how much i love this guitar right now. It is only about 8.5 lbs and I can't seem to get a good enough photo of the top yet to show you how sick it really is.

The BurstbuckerV was a huge let down so I have a zebra Screamin Demon in a the moment, pretty cool pup so far. Needs a little tweaking. THe guitar got a nice setup last night and plays like a dream and just resonates so well. It feels a lot like my regular Standard so it is a perfect mix for me. yeeeehaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey man, Music Machine in Washington State are blowing out some scratch and dent Gibson cases, some of them are the brown Litton cases, some are the Custom/Historic black cases. 100 bucks. real thing.
