Hey guys,
Just got home with the new addition, after looking at the guitar, found to be in mint condition, no scratches or flaws anywhere on the guitar. Sounds pretty good, but dont really care for the Duncan Designed Pups, but got a great deal for the guitar. Thanks for all you guys that helped me in this matter. Hope to hear soon inputs and suggestions on the Pups....

Oh by the way here are some pics...

PS It was make March 2004....

Thanks again:friday:

Cool guitar mate!
What kind of sound are you looking for? What music do you play?
I'd start with replacing the bridge pickup - if you're playing metal the JB is the obvious choice and likely to be cheapest too since they're ten-a-penny used.
I'd leave the middle single coil, as it's likely to work well enough either on its own or in combo with anything upgraded you put in the bridge and neck.
For a neck pickup, again it depends what type of music you're playing.

My SL3 has the same pup config as your DK2 and that guitar hasa JB bridge, SSL-1 middle and Hot Rails neck. Works great.

Well It seems to lack on the bottom end, kinda has a raspy/twangy sound doesnt seem to have a very high output, I thought about the the TB-4 in bridge and maybe the hotrails in the neck, just like you said. Yes I mostly play metal,. Thanks again mate....:1:

The JB, Distortion or DiMarzio Super Distortion would all work well in that guitar. If you find any of those cheap on ebay go for it! I wouldn't worry too much about them being trembuckers/F spaced or not either, if you find a cheap one that's normal spaced.

What do you think about the Duncan Custom SH5

Re: Got that Jackson DK2 today

I wouldn't like to comment on that pickup. I had one in a Jackson RR3 and it didn't do much for me, but that particular guitar didn't seem to work well with any pickups I tried, I think it was just a bad piece of wood.
So I don't like to comment too negatively on the pickups I tried in there, it wouldn't be right.
If you find a Custom cheap though, I'd jump at it.
