Now I just need to find a container but enough to do the body. Attemped the body last weekend. Tried it with a 40 gallon garbage can.......Fail. Maybe I'll post the video later.

It would need to be deep enough to be dipped @$$ end first. I've seen videos of people doing it with a 55g can. Thought One of my smaller ones would work......nope. Picking up a 55 today.

So when you failed with the garbage can, do you strip the paint off and try again, or not worry about it?

Within a minute after the dip, I was washing it off with paint thinner. There was a little color still in the primer, so.after a couple days drying, I lightly sanded it. I went pretty thick with the primer, so it should good to go now.

Well why not just wash the thing off with thinners and try again? Was it in there long enough?

That's very nice! Were factory-painted guitars done this way, too? Some guy dipping guitars 8-hrs a day, or is there a different method for production line stuff?
Whatever, that headstock looks super cool.

I would guess it's similar, but maybe 4 or 5 guitars going in at once into a big trough.
