Hey All!
Well the Tonelab finally arrived the other day and although I've been pretty busy I did get a chance to plug 'er in and try it out. Gotta say I am NOT AT ALL disapointed! It really does have wonderful organic sound. I've only had a chance to run it with the Blues Jr but I am truly impressed. The distortion is true tube and the effects are really impressive. For the $350 I picked it up for on Ebay I really think it was money well spent. Thanks for all the advice on pickin it up! If yer thinkin of trying one its definately on my recommend list!

Good score....I wouldn't mind trying one out, but not for the $600-700 price tag.

ENJOY & give us a follow-up review when you play with it some more!

Re: Got the Vox Tonelab!

If having the speaker cab sim thing is not totally important to you, you can pick up a 60 watt head with all the other exact features for 450 bucks at MF or AMS. Just a heads up. I think it's a better value than buying a new tonelab but maybe not as good a deal as finding a used one on Fleabay.

Re: Got the Vox Tonelab!

american musical has a few "b stock" tonelabs for $350... i think that just means they have been returned. I have 1 and love it

Re: Got the Vox Tonelab!

Yeah, Tonelabs are cool. Good Price! Aren't they usually $450 plus tax?

I agree with Scott, the best of the Valvetronix stuff is the Tonelab and heads.
Vox's only downfall was the particle board cabinetry, which isn't the best for combo amps. The AD60 head sounds great on a good cab, especially the highgain varieties. Some suck, but most sounds in these Vox's is top notch.

In front so far J. There's no loop on the Jr. I'm kind of curious to try it with Phones. Thats really the reason I bought it in the first place.
