Gotoh and Grover tuners

There are a lot of variations/models of both Grover and Gotoh tuners, either brand is very likely to have what you're looking for. I recommend searching their websites to find exactly what you need. For modding purposes I prefer Gotoh, because they have a lot more mix and match options, with finishes, mounting size, screw hole position and tuner buttons. Have fun!

You'd think so, wouldn't you? Grover has a page for their locking rotomatics, but haven't bothered actually putting up pictures of the correct models. At least they do publish some measurements.
Gotoh's web pages looks and loads as if it was built around the turn of the millenium, and doesn't have their locking models on there at all.
I'm guessing neither company has a habit of selling directly to customers.

Each tuner style or model has multiple available options that can be specified with a series abbreviations strung together in a specific part number, with each abbreviation signifying, for example finish, type of post, button material and color, etc. The attached catalogue link has a pretty good breakdown. It does take a little effort, but once you figure it out, you can create your own part number, then do an Internet search to find it. I've had good success searching Reverb with the part numbers.

Yeah, as has been mentioned, lots of variations from either brand. I think both offer good quality products, FWIW. But it depends on what Grover you're replacing with Gotoh and viceversa. But if you get the right one, then yeah, they should be interchangeable.

If Grovers weren't more than twice the price of Gotohs, I'd just make it easy on myself and get their locking Rotomatics.
