Gotoh Wilkinson Bridge?

I have a Strat partscaster with a regular six screw vintage bridge and it has the stupid half block. I want to upgrade it to one with the full block and when I was doing a search on Ebay I came across the Gotoh Wilkinson bridge with the 2 pivot screws. Will it work with the vintage style routing? Will I have any trouble getting it to work with my body where the six holes are there? Or is it just a matter of putting to larger holes in for the pivot bushings? Thanks lexx9

If you are asking the question you are, that pretty much means dont do it. No, its not the hardest thing in the world to retro-fit but, a little expereince is good.
Wilkinson makes a 6-hole version of their bridge that will be mauch easy to install and your guitar can still be re-turned to factory condition.

I use the 2 pivot bridge abd still I think that the vintage bridge is a better design. (although my next tremolo bridge investment would be in a Floyd).

If you have the guitar routed for a vintage Fender bridge I say leave it that way.

Re: Gotoh Wilkinson Bridge?

Stay with a 6 screw bridge, since Wilkinson makes them. They make more contact with the wood of the body = more resonance. a 2-point would be a step down, IMO.
