These are pretty much excellent tuners, and vintage style lockers, and lightweight. They are half the weight of Sperzels or Hipshot open gears, while still being locking. They are about the same weight as the Gotohs, but I don't like the Gotoh locking mechanism . This Wilkie locking mechanism is easy to put on, but sometimes hard o get off.
As far as weight, they are close to 16 grams each- the Sperzels and Open Gear Hipshots lockers would be twice that, or about 32 grams each, 3.5 ounces more for the set, which is considerable if you are trying to watch your weight.
Trouble is, they discontinued the Chrome ones, I suppose because they were eating ointo the sales of the Gotths, which I think is an affiliated concern. I cannot find the chrome ones anywhere anymore, but I found lots of BLACK ones. Price is the best part- I paid under 25 bucks , and they are solid machines. Hope this helps.;
