Ok, so I bought this USA Big Muff, figuring that since I love the sound of my buddy's Russian one, the USA must be even better, right? No, not really - the US pedal, while not bad, is also not the sound I want. Hard to explain, but it's a little too transparent, weird as that sounds.
The solution, of course, is to just return it to the store, who are very good about letting me try stuff out. Let me go on record here and say that one visit to Mother's Music in Winnipeg, Manitoba can restore your faith in the idea that there are actually music stores out there staffed by friendly, helpful dudes. I love them.
But I digress. The problem is that I put the pedal in the back of my amp when transporting it to practice one day, and it stuck to the powerful magnet on the speaker, and as I pulled it out, I gouged a bit of the paint. So what I've got is a brand spankin' new Big Muff pedal that I don't really want and can't return.
I'd be willing to sell it, shipped in Canada, for a slight discount on new price, but I'd rather see if anyone else wants to swap it for anything, maybe a pickup or two, or (and this will definitely catch my eye) perhaps someone's got an envelope filter pedal laying around that they're not using? If that's the case, depending on the pedal, I might be willing to add some cash to the deal. I'd love a Q-Tron or Mini Q-Tron, but my goal is to collect every auto-wah ever made. :>
