Graphtech saddles

Well, I managed to sell the Mother of Toiletseat Agile that I accidentally bought (even made a decent profit) and have ordered one from Rondo in the color that I thought I was buying in the first place. For no reason other than I like modding stuff, I'm considering replacing the nut and saddles with stuff from Graphtech. The nut is easy enough; Allparts has one specifically designed for Gibson-style instruments and I expect it will answer fine. But on the saddles...they've got several different sizes of Tune-o-matic saddles available. Anyone have any idea which ones will fit an Agile 2500? I'd like to go ahead and order all the bits now so that they and the guitar will arrive and about the same time.

Re: Graphtech saddles

The problem is that companies like Graphtech design their stuff as aftermarket for the major companies. It's a crapshoot as to whether or not they'll fit everything, since other hardware is often slightly different than the major brands. That's a question for Graphtech, and frankly, they probably won't even know.

Re: Graphtech saddles

Well, Graphtech says on their site to look at the underside of the existing saddle and I know a several others here have got Agiles, so I was hoping perhaps someone had done this mod and/or looked at their saddles.

Re: Graphtech saddles

My guess is that one of the Epiphone models will fit, sicne the Agiles are made in Korea and that menas there's a damn good chance that they are made by Samick, and quite possibly in the same building that Samick uses to build the Epis for Gibson. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some common parts.

Re: Graphtech saddles

They used to have an order form that had sillouhettes of different saddles, then you matched up the closest one. If you have to, get them a little big and you can grind them down as needed.

Re: Graphtech saddles

i was wondering the same thing for my PS-900....if anyone happens to find out the definitive answer, let us know!
