Usually it's just the headstock that ruins Dean guitars for me . . . but that one works the ole Dean magic on the body and paint job as well.

Here's the deal with the guitar. Buddy Blaze is a guitar maker/designer. Dimebag sold his best Dean ML to buy a car, and Buddy Blaze came into posession of it. Buddy added the Floyd and Blue lightning graphics. Eventually Dime found out Buddy had it, Dime got the guitar back (I think he bought it or borrowed it, and Buddy later gave it to him, something like that), and that became the Cowboys from Hell guitar, Dime's favorite guitar.

Buddy also designed the Kramer nightswan, which some regard as the best Kramer ever made, and they're rare since Kramer went under soon after they came out.

Buddy is now hand making guitars similar to the Kramer Nightswan. Dean decided to do a signature model for Buddy since he was responsible for Dime's CFH Dean ML. This guitar is a combination of the Kramer Night Swan and Dean CFH ML.

Unfortunately it's made in Korean or China, and I haven't been impressed wih the quality of Dean imports lately

I can't say as I care for the placement of that middle/neck pickup, or whatever it is.

God I hate Dean guitars. They push things over the top time after time. And when you think they can't get anymore retardedly ridiculous... well, they find a way to prove you wrong.

Whatever you do, you can always worsen it by painting it blue.

If you can stand blue, hold out for a price, because you'll get it. Kiss of death in retail. :wink:

Yes, but there's that other brand that makes even worse, more efftarded stuff like designed to appeal to challenged middle-schoolers. Can't remember the name right off. Not ESP, that's too easy...it's someone else, not Fernandez...even worse...

But, yeah, Dean definitely has the lock on a certain kind of low-class, hick-metal thing.
