Hi all,

Hi all,
I just want to let you guitarist out there know that I have created a new guitar instruction site that you may find very helpful. The site is called Guitar KnowledgeNet and can be found and www.GuitarKnowledgeNet.com This site packed with information about guitar and music theory.

What you will find inside includes:
A Scale Finder
A Chord Finder
Hundreds of Chord and Scale Fingerings from any root note.
A Progression Builder
Over 200 Major and Minor Chord Progressions in any key.
Eartrainer
Metronome
Over 150 Musical Terms defined.
Practice Tips.
Suggested Listening
And Much More is on the way.

It took me over a year to create this site and about 18 years to learn the theory needed to create it. I really hope you like it. If you do please pass the site along to someone else.

Thanks,
Mike

Nice! Please keep it free though!

Oh it will stay free. Someday I might have ads or sell something. I'm not really sure what I'll be doing with it right now but it will always be free for the viewers.

nuntius - I was going to make the metronome work at 2/2 3/4 and 4/4 but the coding was just driving me nuts so I said "forget that" and just did it with a straght click. Maybe someday I'll go back and see if I can code it to work on other time sigs

y2stevo - Thanks

Mike

Hey Mike; Great website, and welcome to the forum. :)

I added you to the Lessons & Tabs section of my webpage, and also made you the Featured Favorite.

I just wrote up a real quick blurb. (Like, one sentence.) I'll try to expand on it later, or feel free to email me your own text.

Hope to see more of you around here. ;)

Artie

Well, I just went through the site and am very impressed! I will spend more time going through the nitty gritty as time allows, but I think the site looks good, loads fast, and has a ton of useful information! THANX!! :D

Re: Great Resource For Getting Better At Guitar

Hi all,

Want to say thanks for the nice words. Also ArtieToo a big thanks for helping spread the word.

SOLO GUITAR STEWIE - Yeah sorry about that the site is set up to be viewed at 1024 x 768 you're most likely set up for 800 x 600 (usally people with this setting are using a 15" monitor). I've been kicking around the idea of making a 800 x 600 version but not sure when I'll be able to do it.

If you want you can change your sceen resolution. This can be done by right clicking on your desktop and selecting properties then select the "settings" tab, move the slider until you see 1024 x 768 and hit apply. You'll get a message asking if you can see your screen, if you can see it click ok or yes. When I started making this I knew some people might not be able to see the whole thing but I needed more room than 800 x 600 would allow.
