Great Source For Nice Wah Inductors! Plug

STRATDELUXER97

Stratoblaster Tone Meister
Just finished doing an early Crybaby for a buddy of mine and I tryed a "Halo" inductor from a guy named Mike out of NYC..His inductors look like the Banzai and the AerialFX inductors I've used.Mike winds the inductors himself and I was delighted to find that the inductors were every bit as good or better than the Fulltone,Aerial, and the Banzai inductors I normally use and at about a $10 less price...He was great to deal with, always promptly e mailed me back.got the product fast, and as I said, the inductor works great and looks like a relic'd "halo" out of a 67 Vox wah! :laugh2:

Thanks again to Mike for the prompt e mails, great product, and just being an overall great guy to deal with!

There is no comparison between the red and yellow dunlop inductors compared to these,as I've tryed them all(Trust me on this)

I'll be buying all of my wah inductors from Mike now!

Here's Mike's info if you guys want to upgrade your wah inductor.A great inductor is the other key to getting great wah tone that is vocal other than cap and resistor changes.

Also.....I'm not getting payed or getting free inductors or even a discount, just so you all know! :laugh2:

I've seen his inductors but haven't tryed them? I've use Fulltone(Can't buy anymore) Banzai Effects and the Aerial FX....This guy's inductors are as good as these other 3 in my opinion though and priced alot better! Worth trying for the price! :13:

Are these inducers good for vintage wah tone only? What about high gain use?

The inductor is only one part of the total wah equation...The rest is based around the other components on the circuit board..Either way though, the best wahs use the best inductors.

Very cool. I am planning on buliding a byoc wah and now I know for sure 1 of the inductors I'd like to try out :)

I'm very happy with Mike's inductor and his service overall....A real nice guy to deal with.

John, I have a Dunlop 535Q Cry Baby wah could that inductor be put into that? Is it hard to change? Do you do any other mods to the wah or just the inductor?
Thanks!

Someone I know says the Area 51 inductors are the best AND the most consistent from inductor to inductor. According to him, most of the fulltones he tested weren't nearly as accurate as the stamp said.

I'll have to check out this Mike guy. Thanks for the link.

I've used only the Fulltone inductors when I'd do a guy's wahs(I've done several wahs) and I always felt the wahs were consistent, plus I never had a problem with any of them...I just hate spending $30 on an inductor and that's why I've not tryed the Area 51 inductor....Area 51 has changed their inductor styling and look(Not sure iif it's still the same inductor)?

Mike's inductor basically looks like the Banzai Effects inductors I was buying after the Fulltone stuff went away...For the price, might be worth trying at least 1 inductor though>:13:

I do alot of different mods actually and the inductor is just one component during the process.
