Gretsch question

I've seen one of these

locally, and I'm tempted... but I haven't been able to find much out about it. The guy in the shop swears that it's made of cardboard (!), but still wants to sell it to me for 400€. Does anyone own one or have any info to share?

I am a Gretsch lover, but that thing just isn't a Gretsch IMO!!!

looks like gretsch mini humbuckers, maple top, and i'm betting the rest of the body is mahogany.

i can tell you the pickups are a bit twangy & have about half the output of your PAF pickups, so around 4k, aaaand the maple top will add to that twang a bit
