Posted this in a few places. Thought some folks here may be interested as well.

I was asked a question on the GT 5751M by a friend. I posted my answer on my blog where I talk about a few things, some of them music related. I was asked to post the link over here so ... here it is:

As a side note - If there are any folks in the So Cal area that have any of the GT 12AX7M or GT 5751 tubes and would like to have them tested and traced I would be happy to do this at no charge. Drop me a note via email or send me a note on facebook if you are on facebook and we can set up an appointment.

I do not mail things back and forth so you would have to be local enough to North Hollywood to bring the tubes into the shop. This would be done while you wait (and watch).

Thanks for the response Myles.

I read the blog. It was very informative. Many could use a good 5751 in certain situations, where less gain is wanted, in phase inverters and where more touch sensitivity is warranted.

I understand you are very busy Myles. I think this forum would really enjoy you and your posting. It is a lot less of a "drive by shooting" type of forum than many other forums. Sometimes I see your postings, serious informative postings, in the middle of a bikini girl post and a name calling post and say to myself, "Myles, what are you doing here."

I will do my best to stop by this form more often. The folks here are a pretty darn good group. There are some forums where folks try to help each other and then there are a few others.
