Ground Wire

I have installed 3 hot rails into my Strat.
I soldered the green wire to the ground but didnt do that with with the drain wire. Must the drain wire also be connected to the ground?
Does it make any difference?

Please help me.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the drain, or bare wire, also goes to ground. On a full-size humbucker, that bare wire is soldered to the base plate so connecting it to ground grounds that plate. I don't know where it is connected inside a Hot Rail or any of the mini-buckers/rails but it's something similar.
