Grounding problems with my Tele

Hey alll, I could use some help! I put a JD Tele and V54 Neck in my tele and I can't get the guitar to ground to save me. When I put the original PU's in they ground out fine but when I go to the Seymours no such luck. It buzzes like crazy then when I touch any metal on the guitar it stops. I have wired a ground to the bridge plate, that didn't help. I then retouched all my joints to make sure they were nice and clean, no luck. I took it to a tech and had him redo it and he couldn't figure it out. When I take the Bridge pu out of the loop it is better but not by a whole lot. So it is hard to tell if it one pu or the other. I really like the tone of the pu's but this is ridiculous. I have wired tons of guitars over the years and I have never run into this. Could one of the pick ups have a problem? If you have any ideas I am all ears.
Thanks In Advance

Re: Grounding problems with my Tele

welcome to the forum!!

if only one pup was humming id say it might be a bad pup, but if the whole guitar is humming then its probably not it. what wire did you use as the hot wire that goes to the switch? if you reversed them then the cover and baseplate wouldnt be grounded which could maybe cause the problem?
