Grounding??

Well well,
It was a good year ago that i got my duncans (along with my first post on here) but i was jamming at my cousins last weekend and hes said that i hadnt rounded my pups, because he noticed dodgey backround noise! So what have i done wrong/ havent done!

Pls could sum1, suggest how to ground a bridge JB, im sure ive been told (very forgetful - me) ????
Im planning on doing this 2moz...

Solder the green and bare wires to ground, and make sure you have a ground wire running from the bridge to ground, and from all pots and switches to ground. There are a lot of different reasons why you could be hearing noise. One way to test for a bad ground is to use a really sensitive tuner, such as a Peterson VS-1. If the pickup isn't grounded, the display will jump all over the place and you won't be able to get a consistent reading. If that test checks out fine, then it's not a pickup problem.
