Re: Grover Jackson Soloist Special Custom?

whats he askin for that "mutta"? Iv'e got a Soloist that looks pretty much like it. Sellers done some nice improvements cause the pickups that came with it suck. I believe its a Japanese Jackson hes got there .I love my neck thru. I think the bodys poplar though not ash on that one, but i could very well be wrong. Anyway, I would snag it if i could get a good price. They were like 700-800 new i think. I got mine for 250.00 , but it needs frets levelled and crowned. Also needs the bad sounding jackson pickups replaced, which i dont mind doing. But then, I like Jacksons.

Well I don't think one coulsd by a 90's Jackson in Finland for that price, more like $ 600-1000 He's not asking for any certain price. I'll ask

well, maybe it might be better to buy one used of Ebay USA and have the seller ship to Finland?

Yeah, but then there would be customs and shipping added to the price, and the hassle would be a lot bigger.

and the price he's asking is 800-900e ($ 1250-1400)

I can obviously see that yours was fifth of that price (of course the condition and mods compensate the difference a bit, and all guitars are generally a bit more expensive here.)
But anyway, the price he's asking is maybe a little too much for my wallet. And I'm quite sure he's gonna get it sold for that price, OFR, old Jackson, mint condition are quite big sellers here usually.

I dont see how it would be a bigger hassle to get that same guitar off ebay for around 500.00 bucks, and pay the shipping and customs. youd probably come out way ahead versus the 1200.00. I guess I'm missing something in the translation.

Well, not really a bigger hassle but I'd like to see and play the guitar before I buy it, because the money doesn't exactly grow on trees, at least not on thispoor students trees (and, as you know, the poor can't afford the cheap).

Re: Grover Jackson Soloist Special Custom?

Dunno about Finland but last time I asked for Greece shipping came to sth about 225 euros and I think customs must be sth around 20% of the written price.

I think I'm not mistaken on the shipping part but on the customs part I could VERY well be way off...

Yeah, the customs are about 26 %, and if the guitar cost say 350 €, and shipping 250 €, it would be 751 €

And, if it costs here 40-140 € more, I'd rather buy it here.

Re: Grover Jackson Soloist Special Custom?

I'd buy it...because I like it. :)

Yeah, but you seem to be listening In Flames, so your vote doesn't count!
:lmao::joke:

Have to see if I get the money for it, gonna have to lend some from my parents to do it.

Re: Grover Jackson Soloist Special Custom?

There's a Charvel ltd 88 for sale, too.
http://muusikoiden.net/dyn/tori/224261.jpg
It's equipped with JT-6 trem
The price is $ 860, so it's about 2/3 of the Soloist. But then, the Jackson has OFR, and HSS config with one SD. And with slanted bridge pup, it could be hard to get liquid leads from the Charvel. Opinions?

Re: Grover Jackson Soloist Special Custom?

Well, the Charvel ltd 88 is sold, didn't last too long. (I didn't buy it)
