guess someone at the factory mixed up the color coding

had a friend come to me for help with a dimebucker that wouldnt work well.
tested it with a dmm all seemed fine wired it straight to the jack still sounded weak.
in the end i reversed the white and black wires and all of a sudden it no longer sounded weak and out of phase.

wiring that worked was black and red soldered together green and bare ground, white signal.

Yeah, they've had a couple snafu's in their time. Glad your friend had someone who could sort it out. How's she sound, btw?

sounded pretty nice, the guitar he put it in isnt much but to me it sounded similar to the L500XL i have in my jackson sl2h,sounded fine clean too,i thought i read somewhere that thats the difference between the dimebucker and the l500xl.

I need to hear a Dimebucker. Thanks for the GAS! :D

Re: guess someone at the factory mixed up the color coding

should have been more clear......
thought i read somewhere the dimebucker doesnt sound good clean(overdrives or something) unlike the l500xl that sounds nice clean too.but like i said the dimebucker sounded to me fine even on the clean channel.
