Im gonna added another Tele build thread! :approve: :nana:
So I just ordered the neck from Warmoth. Warmoth Pro Construction, Maple Neck with Ebony Fretboard. No inlays, White side dots only. 1 11/16" nut. White Corian nut. 10"-16" compound radius. 6105 frets. Now i play the waiting game.... but this will give me time to order the body from GuitarFetish.com and get the knobs, pickups, and tremolo.

also, im gonna paint pups black, black knobs, black tremolo, and black tuners. Its gonna look niiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccceeeee when its done!

Here's the body I'm gonna get, just gonna keep it how it is, no paint, no stain:

My eyes might be deceiving me but something doesn't look right about that bridge route ! Seems slanted

Sounds like a great build though! What pickups you thinking?

I was thinking about either SD Custom SM-2, Dimarzio Vintage Mini Humbuckers or GFS Crunchy Mini humbuckers.... Gonna paint them black.

Well that body isn't the exact one I'm gonna get, just a picture of one they took. It's made out of Poplar. The bridge route does look slightly slanted a bit, hopefully it isn't once I get it. If it is, I can fix it.

Which method are you thinking of using to paint the p'ups?
I've sprayed and brushed them but I found that dipping them into the can works best.

I was gonna spray them. Didn't think of dipping though.

That's if I can't find some already black mini Humbuckers or P90s

Why paint the pickups black.? Why not just get black covers or order them black.?

Yea I know. I found some covers for mini hums that'll fit into P90 routings

So I just got my Tele body today. Made out of Poplar.
Also got my Wilkinson Tremolo, Knobs, Tuners, and pickups.
Pickups: EMG P91/92
Tuners: Sperzel Locking Tuners.

I got the EMGs cause they go with the "look" I'm shooting for. But the amp is gonna need some tweaking so I can make them sound good!
Gonna keep the body just how it is. It's needS LOTS of sanding, then I'm just gonna some clear coats over it to protect it.


Still waiting for my Warmoth Neck..............

Looks pretty cool man! While I am definitely in the camp of "guitar looks" I have to wonder about picking your pickups simply because they fit the look you were after...

I know what you mean. I was iffy about getting them, but I got em cheap. These are supposed to be the "P-90" sized versions of the H4 and H4A, which I had in a Jackson I used to have. I wa able to get some decent heavy tones and nice cleans. Just took some tweaking, but I got them to sound good.

I had this vision of this telecaster to look a certain way, and these pups fit the part....
