Guitar Back Ordered at Musician's Friend

I ordered a guitar on sale over the weekend from Musician's Friend that said currently in stock and ready to ship! Got an email this morning saying its now on back order... I already paid for it. Has this happened to you before? If so, how long did you wait? I'm thinking about just canceling my order and looking elsewhere.

Contact MF amd see if they have an idea of how long it will be before its back in stock. Youve paid for it, once back in stock it will ship to you.

I would call and ask for something (discount) to make it worthwhile waiting and not taking my order elsewhere.

Yeah I was charged already for guitar and gig bag. At the time of purchase it was showing in stock but apparently was an error and was really backordered. I got a hold of Musician's Friend. 2 to 3 weeks expected for guitar now. I'm wondering how many others ordered like me that paid and is waiting longer than expected? It's a Squier Bullet Mustang HH in Surf Green. 24 scale. $149 on sale. I got parts and plan on modding. Don't own a 24 scale guitar currently.

The guitar in that color isn't showing up at all now at Musician's Friend. But was showing in stock and ready to ship all this weekend until a few hours ago.

Yeah it seems like it will be a great little guitar to mod. Never owned a Mustang. Surf Green looks cool.

they are looking and when they have it, they want to make sure they still have a sale


GC has one for 179 right now

Yeah just saw that Guitar Center has it for $179 in stock right now. So maybe mine will ship soon then.

Guitar Center and Musicians Friend are the same entity. They swap (sell from) the same inventory all the time. I would hold tight and see what's up based on info you shared.

Yeah MF even lists GC's used stock as their own now. Same company.
