Guitar Building

I have been thinking of making my own guitar for sometime. Mainly just for the experience. My father has a computerized router and I would love to use this machine to produce a guitar body. I was looking at warmoth.com and guitar bodies are relatively expensive along with everything else lol. I saw a nice flyIng V body and would love to build something like that a guitar with q bolt on neck would be the easiest way to go. A body without laminates and contours is what I want to produce. In order to do this i need to get the schematics of body shapes. I need to know the size overall dimensions and the depth and size of the cavity holes in order to put them in the computer to have the router to cut it out. Is there anywhere on the Internet I can get these design dimensions? The further research I do the more money it looks like it will cost to produce a guitar then purchase a finished product. If I can get the correct dimensions to route out the body where is the best place to purchae all the remaining parts neck, tuners, bridge etc?

Re: Guitar Building

The blue print or design measurements would be great would be great we are waiting for new software to come this week that enables the machine to do more in depth work. So dimensions as far as legnth depth and thickness are needed plus my plan is to do a bolt on neck minimizing the technical Aspects of a set through. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Re: Guitar Building

Thanks a lot for sending the PDF and drawing file I will open them up as soon as I get in front of a computer it's way too difficult using my phone. Is the 83 korina flying v a set through or bolt on neck?
