Guitar cable slipping out

Strange, I have never seen this in my 50+ years of playing. Picked up a new guitar (actually it was a Christmas gift from the wife) It's a Reverend and it plays & sounds great!! One problem tho, the guitar cable keeps "partly"slipping out of the output jack, the same cable stays in my other guitars, However I tried a different cable and it stays in (but that cable is of low quality). Today I will open it up and remove the output jack and see if it is "bent" so it doesn't hold the jack tight. But any other suggestions are appreciated.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Probably a cheap or broken jack. Put in a Switchcraft and be done with it.

TS -if the cable is fine in other guitars, and Guitar is fine with other cables, it can only be one thing ......Satan

actually, it's likely your Cable 1/4" connector is slightly bent at an angle from the casing and the Guitar 1/4" jack tip terminal's sprung tension is just loose enough to affect only the cable with a bent angle.

Respring the jack
Throw away or reterminate the cable connector.

Does the sound cut out when the cable slips? It took me over 35 years of playing to finally learn that not all 1/4” cable tips are the same size! A little bend of the jack receiver pin is usually all it takes to fix.

Oh, forgot to ask, which Rev did you get? I’ve had a couple over the years, and my Double Agent is one of my go to guitars for live and recording.

I saw some jack on Phillip McKnights YouTube video
That had two of the tip springs and he said they were super solid

But I'm not sure what the brand was
