Guitar parts blowout type sale / advice needed

Hey, this is a two part thread. First, guitarfetish is selling off a whole bunch of necks and bodies and so forth from a factory they bought out overseas. Some pretty sketchy stuff, some legitimately nice stuff too - all very very cheap. You'll want to act fast, the last sale got swept up in a few days! I missed my chance on a gorgeous full maple capped mahogany set neck LP body with an excellent paint job...for around 40 bucks.

Anyway, there you go. They're selling some neck thru guitars without hardware for around 100-130, obviously the DIY minded among you can see the appeal therein.

So I picked up a Ibanez style body:

I wanted people's thoughts on what I'ma do with it. I'm going to stick a strat neck on it, fill in the 2 fret gap associated with that (it's made for 24 fret square neck shreddy type necks), fill the floyd rose cavity up with some maple or cherry, fill the neck pickup cavity the same way, bondo a teensy bit, convert the front pickup to an angled p90 and then have a hard tail, black hardware, 80s shreddy meets 70s style meets snarly nasty sounding guitar.

Think the maple capped (it looks pretty thin, but thicker than just veneer) poplar body will respond well to a p90? I'd imagine tonewoods are somewhat less important for this sort of body given its shape - fat in the middle, skinny at the edge.

I've always wanted a simple, straight ahead guitar with two knobs and an agressive vocal tone. I hope to get that with this one. I like the body shape too, has sort of an ovation GP / musicman vibe.

Anyway, thought I'd let you guys in on some great deals (not before claiming all I want, ha ha). Incidentally, GFS tends to sell some good parts and pickups - not quite top of the line, but I've been happy with everything I've bought from them. The retrotron pickups are a lot of fun. There are a lot of other bodies and necks for sale.

PS Is this body shape considered an Ibanez SA? I'm clueless about these types of guitars.

Huh...that deal went through.

I remember him talking about it when I interviewed in November.

I got a strat neck for mine, obviously I'm going to be doing some woodworking. I'm not planning on having the flame show through.
