Alrighty guys (and gals?), gotta finish my project soon, so I was wondering which online parts dealers you use. I am referring to hardware like pickguards, pots, nuts, etc......

I usually check MF out first, then I go to Allparts, guitarelectronics, and all things strat.

Have I missed any worthwhile. I would like to find a spot where I can order pretty much everything from pups to screws and everything in between.

Thanks for dropping by!

Re: Guitar Parts Suppliers

+1 for StewMac. They've got all kinds of specialized tools which greatly ease certain aspects of construction that don't seem to be available anywhere else. In my experience, the customer service is excellent as well. I got a faulty switch from them and called and told a representative several months after I had ordered it (it took me a while to finish the project). They were super nice, and althought the switch was backordered, they put me on a list for a new one and shipped it out as soon as it came in. In addition, they didn't question me, nor did they even make me send the bad one back. The new switch worked perfectly, and their excellent customer service has won me as a permanent customer.

Re: Guitar Parts Suppliers

Stewmac is great for tools...they have a huge selection of stuff you won't find anywhere else. They do have good service and I sometimes get my order within one day because I live relatively close to their shop.

Having said that, I would not buy any electronics stuff from them. They do not sell high quality parts like CTS pots and Switchcraft switches. Instead, they sell cheap foreign-built stuff. I've had several of their pots go bad on me in the past, and I believe Lew had the same experience (speaking of him, he usually keeps a good amount of parts in stock, as does John at Blackrose Customs. I try to help out the forum guys when I can.)

The best place I've found for one-stop shopping is www.guitarelectronics.com. They should have just about anything you could need, and they also ship fast and have excellent customer service. One time they even drew me a custom wiring diagram when I couldn't quite figure it out on my own. They are also very knowledgeable about the stuff they sell. I used their live chat feature once to ask about the different piezo pickup systems on the market, and the guy was extremely helpful even for a less than common item like that. If he couldn't answer a question, he asked someone else so that I wouldn't get any false information. Needless to say, I can't recommend these guys enough.

Yep, I've always liked Guitar Electronics. Love their schematics on the website as well. They have top quality parts as Ryan mentioned and good prices to boot ;)

Re: Guitar Parts Suppliers

These's guys are pretty good guitarpartsresource I've done some Biz with them. I haven't dealt
with Guitar electronic yet, But I see they have upgraded there website
And there price's are good. Years ago Stewmac was great for parts. But
now There better for supplies. I got the same crappy pots from them. :13:
