Ok, I've listened to a sound clip by one guy, he played the solo of Metallicas Wherever I My Roam. I was just thinking how he's got crappy sound, and then I recorded some sounds by myself and I realised that I got a really crappy sound too. Even worse than his :smack:
Thats most noticable when I try to bend 22>24 (1st E string) during the solo. Hammett has got really powerful sound  (time:4:50 in the song) , how can I get something like that. Do I need a tube amp, some sort of preamlifier, or a 2000$guitar, or all at same time?
My sound is just not that consistent, thw tone is just losing its strenghts and colour, and it is not my guitar technique to blame. Maybe its about post-production?
P.S. I played Ibanez RG through a Digitech preocessor.
