Guitar video: 5 Guitars, Seymour Duncan content

Re: Guitar video: 5 Guitars, Seymour Duncan content

Nice jam... fun and upbeat! Gotta admit that I couldn't really hear any difference from one guitar to another, but then too I was hearing it through my phone's speaker! Or did the guitars only change in the video but not the audio? I'll have to give it a listen again when I get home. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I can't really hear much of a difference in all the guitars, either. The Dimarzio has more saturation and high end fuzz, possibly? The Duncan's sound pretty consistent in all the different guitars.

I love the JB in a floyd rose equipped guitar. I think something about that combo of the floyd and that pickup just makes a great match. People complain how they hate floyd rose's effect on the tone of their pickups but with the JB the tone seems to really jump out at ya as the midrange is more pronounced and the harmonics leap off the fret board easily. The JB also has that tight bottom end that holds the power chords together and keeps them from mushing. what a great pickup. I think your guitar chops lend themselves well to the tones of this pickup. I can hear the nice riffs but with clarity and they don't sound too compressed. It makes your phrasing sound good. nice job:bigthumb:

I would agree... but then again im listening on crappy lap top speakers.. how much can you tell from that. DId they sound alike in the room?
