I thought the Comptortion was a great pedal. But I can see why it didn't catch on. Kinda like shampoo + conditioner -- or buying shirts and pants pre-sewn together as ready-made outfits.

Great idea, but fail...

#1 Assumes you dig Trex OD/Distortion. My point is there are a couple of ICONS and Trex ain't it.
#2 No Modulation? That's a MAJOR flavor of fx
- One Chorus/Flange/Phase/Vibe spot would REALLY up that things game.

Kudo's for Delay + Verb though....often you only get delay

Again - MY version would kill this thing without being much bigger. But I'm glad it works for you..

Last time I went through Fry's, they had a nice big enclosure similar to that. They also had Hammonds, though the prices sucked.

I was thinking if there were a few CLASSIC stomps to have, wouldn't be nice to have a board of those boxes? SO how about a really basic modeled set of boxes:

That way you just "buy one" and get them all. Obviously sharp modelling would be key. But this must be doable.

TS-9 screamer - with mid cut and gain boost
???? Not sure what Distortion is "The" classic. Maybe a DS-1 with Keeley mod

Boss CH-1 Chorus
ADA Flanger
MXR Phase 90
???? Not sure what Tremolo.
Switch for either a Boss DD-3 or an Ibanez AD-9
A reverb with spring/room/hall - again, Fender would seem to be the thing to mod, with maybe a Lexicon hall and ????
And a wah vol pedal - based on 535Q


Then arrange the whole thing:

Comp
Gain option 1 - select any from all the gains! Micro-TS9, Metal-Metal, whatever, TS9-distortion....
Gain option 2
Wah
Mod pedal
Delay pedal
Verb Pedal

Set the whole thing for banks with selected pedals.

Have an option to place external pedals in at whatever point, a pre-post gain for way, and a solo boost switch!

NO need to model if you can afford the build cost (about 50% of buying cheaper brand name pedals, or as low as 30% of the expensive ones) from a private pedal copy vendor... They'll build you a "multi FX box"-looking thing with the actual guts of 5-10 real pedals, arranged in whatever order, with whatever inputs, outputs, mods, order options, etc etc you can think up. Cost of a single box to replace a pedalboard will run a few hundred, but hey, less lossy, no hassle, true-true-bypasses, more portable, etc etc
