H&K Martix for gigging ? (S/S amp content)

. . . i am asking this question for a friend who does not have inter-net !


He is playing in a (for a lack of a better word) Metal band, called, The Black October.

The one guitarist, my friend, is using a crapp Crate 50W S/S combo ! :no:

He wants to upgrade - at 20years of age who can blame him - but he can only go as high as a H&K MATRIX 100W.

YES, i know it is still a S/S amp, but it is 50Watts more than he has now, and they gig once a week (every week) already !
Luckily the venues are mic'd, albeit with super crapp PA & sound man - I SWEAR I CAN DO A BETTER JOB !

What do you guys think of the H&K MATRIX ?
Do you know the S/S line og H&K ?

Just remember, he CAN NOT go any higher in price - PERIOD ! :blackeye:

. . . forgot to mention :

Going "used" is NOT an option either, as there is Jack-Sh!t on the South African sendhand market, except more S/S rubbish, and wieght will kill us, if you buy @ eBay !!!

I play a Hughes and Kettner Attax hybrid. I guarentee you no matter what they make...it sounds good.
