H&K Statesman...opinions please

Hey all,
Just wondering if i could get some opinions on the
H&K Statesman Dual 6l6 2X12 combo amp?
I am trying one now and i love the amp, great clean
channel and a cool drive channel. Great thick o/d sound
that will get fairly heavy with gain up, and with the boost feature.
I am noticing some buzzing when playing certain notes, and
the amp gets a little noisy at mid-high volumes.
I have a few days left to test it so if anyone can give me
their opinions i would appreciate it. I might be looking
for something that can get into the metal territory, even
using pedals.
Using distortion pedals through the clean channel on this amp
works well, but it is not quite as "tight" as i would like.
Any thoughts??

I had one but it got smashed in a car wreck. If you want to tighten it, use an OD pedal. It's not a metal amp my man. It's more like traditional tone. Really good cleans. I'm going to buy another one when I get the dough together.

The EL34 amps look pretty cool too. H&K makes some nice tone machines.

Tried it at a jam last night and the TS-9 was excellent with it, and the clean was
also excellent. Not the right amp for higher gain situations though (IMO). Great for
what it is, would like to have one but for now i need a more suitable all-around
amp.
