H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

WITH FULL DISTORTION

Hi GUys, long time no post
Q: (

SO based on that, and in the fact that i want a hard rock tone (crunchy and lots of mids, bass mids and hi mids, singing highs and enought tightness adn boldness on the bass as possible ) But with Metal Improvements(articulation under high gain and tightness)

Which Set of seymour duncans would fit the H-S slots here for my Charvel FUsion Deluxe?!
previously i owned a 5150 1 with a marshall 4x12 with g12t75 but now i switched to mesa boogie dual rectifier solo head 3 channels version and a 2x12 with celestions CREAMBACK 75 w.

I couldnt find a bridge pickup so far that would match the charvel sound, it either lacks bass, mids or treble. thats WEIRD.
but for the neck sot, i used to trust the hot rails neck. but not sure anymore, since i changed Amp.

What do you guys think?
Charvel is tuned to D standard with 012 .

heres a pic of the entire Gang _DSC0035.jpg

and a video to check my mesa boogie tone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcuVn9ocy4Y

Thanks in Advance.

bare knuckles where its at man. if u want huge, tight bass, get a bkp warpig. Put a duncan little 59 in the neck

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

i already tried several pickups. i have a warpig set with the bridge being the ceramic one. and i already tried the alnico version. fits better. but i want a cheaper alternative this time and not a high output. moderate out be perfect

Ya know, I was thinking today about HS guitars and I started to wonder about P-Rails. I thought it might be a cool idea to put a YJM Fury in the neck and put the P-Rails in upside down and have it wired as such:

3-Neck
2-Neck and Rail
1-P90

And then it might be cool to have a 1meg volume and 250k tone and have a blower switch (S1) that bypasses the tone and puts the P-Rails in series.

I see you like actives, as well.

Why not try Blackouts in the H-S configuration?

Hits all the points you mentioned and will fit that guitar without modifications :)

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

The blackouts may work. Good idea. But no hard rock tone out of them, right??!

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

ive got a mint condition (take off) emg 81/85 set kickin around if u want

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

I just tried a Cool Rails/Alternative 8 in a Charvel, and man, that was amazing. Pretty nuch what you are describing.

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

I've never tried an Alt 8, but it'll probably fit the bill, judging from the description.

With that said, I'd personally try a PATB-1b in the bridge, with maybe a HR or CR in the neck. It *should* give you a fairly even response with enough kick to go into metal and enough sweetness to still do rock.

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

The Cool Rails/Alt 8 setup sounds awesome

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

Try a J90C and a J200R in the neck.

Re: H-S recomendation for a Charvel Fusion Deluxe Hard rock tone for METAL.

Nice guitars! Keep in mind youll need a neck pickup with a straight baseplate like OEM Jackson/Charvel and EMG's, not the typical triangle shape. Im sure you know that, but it might limit your options.

Gonna go different route here. Since you are all about dat bass, mid/bass, mids, and perhaps less top:

DiMArzio - Chopper neck, X2N bridge.*

*I am currently rocking the ^$#$# hails out of an X2N loaded Hello Kitty Strat....might be influencing my suggestion.
