handwound swiss(or German) pickups supposedly in the same league as Bare Knuckle, Tom Holmes, TV Jones, etc.

Has anybody tried these? Are they the real deal? They seem reasonably priced. Are they actually made in Taiwan or something?

talk to me.:fingersx:

Re: Haeussel pickups????

Harry Häussel is a jovial middle aged man, who is a precision mechanic by trade and vocation. He has been involved in repairing / rewinding pickups since 1985 and is currently supplying top caliber guitar builders such as Nik Huber, Claudio Pagelli, Teuffel, Ruokangas with exceptional quality transducers.
This excellent pedigree has put him in the same league as his famous counterparts such as Jason Lollar, Lindy Fralin, Wolfetone, Joe Barden, Bareknucles, Bartolini, Tim White (Timbuckers), Tom Holmes...
Whilst his specialty isn't the exact "replica" pickup (other winders, such as Lollar do a great job in this field), he can produce anything from a '59 PAF clone, to a 10 pole single coil, to a jazz pickup, to 4 / 5 / 6 string bass pickups in any J / P / MM / Bartolini format. Please do drop me a line (info@ugroove.biz) if you have any special wind you wish to try out, overwinds, underwinds, wood covers (!), crazy things - but also if you wish to rewind your broken pickup. We've recently started servicing old Barden pickups with much success.
