Hagstrom Super Swede Question

Anybody out there own one of these? I'm considering buying one and I'm wondering how the hardware is and if anything should be upgraded. I have a buddy who used to have one and I remember loving it but I was much less experienced back then. Thanks in advance

I have the Ultra Swede, and I love it. It's a bit lighter weight than an Epiphone Les Paul. The pickups definitely need upgraded. But the hardware is just fine. I was lucky to get a great deal on one with a tweed case. The neck profile is a bit odd in that it's very flat and thin, but that makes it easy to play. If you can get a good deal on it, I'd say go for it.

Mine is the Viking semihollow, and the assessment I'd give is the same. Oddly enough even the vintage Hagstroms have the flat back necks. I've got an H3 from the late 60's and its the flattest neck I think I've ever had.

Yeah I think I'm sold. I wanted an epiphone for a while but the Swede seems like it would satisfy my itch whilst being a little original. You don't see many of these guitars (at least I don't). Next on my list is a semi hollow too so if I dig the Swede ill Def be looking at a Viking. Really wish I could play one before buying but nobody sells the near me.
